For the past 17 years Nsedu Witherspoon has served as a key leader and spokesperson for children’s vulnerabilities and the need for their protection from environmental hazards. Among a variety of advisory positions, Nsedu is a member of the NIH Council of Councils and of the Science Advisory Board for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. She earned her Master of Public Health degree in Maternal and Child Health from The George Washington University, School of Public Health and Health Services. She is a proud mom to 4 children and lives with her family in Maryland.
